This year the event was very special as it coincided with CLS’s 150th anniversary celebrations – and the event was held in person for the first time in two years.

Over 200 guests attended the dinner to celebrate legal excellence in Cambridgeshire, including guest of honour, Simon Davis, former president of the Law Society of England and Wales, who presented the awards.

Michael Frape, President of CLS, hosted the event, which included a raffle to benefit the charity LawWorks.

A special mention went to Colin Jones of HCR Hewitson LLP, who received one of the most prestigious awards of the evening, the Lifetime Achievement Award.

Chairman of the Jury, Ian Mather (CEO of Cambridge United and a barrister who practiced at Cambridge for 36 years) said: “This year we had a large number of nominations for the awards and there were many possible winners in a number of categories. This speaks volumes about the high standard of legal services available in Cambridgeshire. »
